The Strider is a speculative design animation that explores the ecological niches of often overlooked fauna. The work was inspired by layers of unique, complex body mechanics and predominantly focuses on the underwater vortexes and surface disturbances that allow water striders to move.
Sculpted booleans and fluid dynamics were used to accurately simulate the water vortexes created from each jump.
